Minnesota law requires the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to maintain and publish a list of states whose handgun carry permit laws differ from Minnesota’s permit-to-carry statute [624.714 Subd. 16]. To obtain a permit in Minnesota, applicants must be at least 21 years old.
