Delaware honors concealed carry licenses from other states that meet specific criteria: the state must reciprocate by recognizing Delaware permits, provide a level of regulation comparable to Delaware’s standards, and must not have a history of issuing permits to individuals with felony convictions. For states with multiple permit types, only those that align with these requirements will be accepted. Delaware residents are required to hold a Delaware Concealed Deadly Weapon License in order to carry within the state.
Delaware issues concealed carry licenses to both residents and non-residents. In states labeled “resident only,” only licenses held by Delaware residents are recognized, non-resident licenses are not accepted in those jurisdictions.
