Why was The Attorneys On Retainer Association Formed?

The Attorneys On Retainer Association (“AOR Association”) was created to support and advance the rights of business owners, firearms enthusiasts, and self-defense trainers nationally. AOR provides essential resources, online training and education, activist litigation, criminal and civil legal protection, and additional support to our business entity and individual affiliates. All members of AOR are automatically Freedom Affiliates of The Attorneys On Retainer Association when they join. All affiliates are eligible to earn commissions by promoting online training and education through our formal affiliate program. These benefits go far beyond what a traditional law firm could provide, ensuring that affiliates have access to expert legal defense, self-defense education, and a strong community dedicated to protecting and advancing their rights.
How The AOR Association Operates
The Attorneys For Freedom Law Firm (“AFF”) has been at the forefront of defending self-defense cases and has been representing clients in major felony matters since 1997. The AOR Association was established as an independent, national association to dramatically expand and enhance the benefits available to its affiliates.
This separation between AFF and The AOR Association allows each organization to focus on what they do best. AFF now limits its legal representation only to defending clients who assert self-defense. As such, AFF is now the only law firm in the nation that does nothing but self-defense cases. Similarly, The AOR Association can now focus on growing the affiliation, advocating for 2A rights, strengthening legal protections for those who act in self-defense, and providing an array of valuable services that complement AFF’s legal expertise.
In addition to its legal advocacy, The AOR Association is the sole owner of The Attorneys For Freedom Risk Retention Group, Inc. (“AFF-RRG”), a specialized entity designed to offer unparalleled legal benefits to AOR affiliates involved in self-defense-related matters. The AFF-RRG provides comprehensive benefits, ensuring that members receive the best possible defense without the usual exclusions, delays, loss of attorney-client privilege, or red tape commonly found in traditional insurance plans.
