What is the AOR Self-Protection Plan and how does it work?

Attorneys On Retainer offers Self-Protection Plans that are designed to provide aggressive, experienced criminal defense attorneys in your back pocket 24/7/365 for those self-defense situations, where you’re now being faced with potentially losing your freedom. Backed by the Attorneys For Freedom Law Firm, the AOR Self-Protection Plans will take you all the way through trial with ZERO additional legal defense fees, so long as you are a member of the program before the incident, the attorney can reasonably argue that you were acting in self-defense, and now you are facing one or more felony charges.

Do the AOR Self-Protection Plans cover pre-existing legal problems?

No. You must be a member of the Attorneys On Retainer program BEFORE you have a legal problem. Pre-existing legal matters are not applicable.

What is your cancellation policy and how do I cancel?

Members can cancel at any time. However, your $100 sign-up fee is nonrefundable. To cancel your membership, please email Support@AttorneysOnRetainer.us or call 866-404-5112.

How do I speak with a lawyer in an emergency situation?

If you were involved in a self-defense incident and emergency medical assistance is necessary, please call 911 first to explain there has been a shooting, medical help is needed, and communicate the address. That’s it. Ensure the scene is secure and you do not present a threat to officers then call the AOR Emergency hotline at 866-303-3476.

What happens if a new legal issue comes up? Do I need to pay for a Strategy Session?

No. Strategy Sessions are FREE for all new and applicable legal matters.

What if my CCW is invalid at the time of a self-defense incident, will you still cover the AOR member?

YES, you are covered no matter the status of your CCW license.

What are the exclusions on the weapons that you cover in the AOR Self-Protection Plans?

There are no exclusions for weapons in our Attorneys On Retainer program. If you claim self-defense and use any weapon, we will cover you.

What legal fees would an AOR member be responsible for?

The Attorneys On Retainer Program will cover 100% of your attorneys’ fees and any other court costs or legal expenses necessary to effective representation, so long as the following criteria apply:

The incident occurred after you joined the AOR Program
The attorney can reasonably argue in good faith that you were acting in self-defense
You are now facing one or more felony charges

Is there a reimbursement of expenses or are they paid as incurred?

All expenses are paid as incurred, except for our firearms replacement reimbursement benefit. Attorneys On Retainer cannot pay for a firearm’s purchase on behalf of a client or be involved in any transactions in this manner.

Under the current agreement “Cooperation” a client agrees to immediately contact the attorney in the event legal representation in any "Applicable Legal Matter" is necessary. What is the procedure to enact the AOR Self-Protection Plan in the event a self-defense situation arises?

Contact the Attorneys For Freedom Law Firm as soon as you are able. You are also free to have any other person contact our law firm on your behalf. We will take action immediately to protect your rights.

Do the AOR Self-Protection Plans have a 24/7/365 emergency number to contact?

Yes. If you are involved in a self-defense emergency, call the AOR Emergency hotline at 866-303-3476 as soon as you are able. We will take action immediately to protect your rights. You are also free to have any other person contact our law firm on your behalf.

What is Pro Hac Vice and how does it work?

Pro Hac Vice is a Latin term that translates to “for this occasion”. In the court system, an attorney may be temporarily admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction for which they are not licensed so that they may appear in a particular case without being formally admitted into that jurisdiction.
