> Attorneys On Retainer (AOR) is a self-defense legal protection membership program backed by The Attorneys For Freedom Law Firm — the only U.S. law firm that exclusively represents clients in self-defense cases. AOR members receive 24/7/365 attorney access, full criminal and civil defense coverage, and nationwide representation through pro hac vice admissions.

AOR is not insurance. Members become direct clients of a law firm the moment they join. Coverage is determined by three simple criteria (charge risk, good-faith self-defense, post-membership conduct) rather than the long exclusion lists typical of insurance-backed competitors.
